August 11, 2015 the Board of Directors voted to open a branch office and language learning center in a small town in N. Iraq. Stay tuned for more information!

After a year of working through details, our board approved our application for tax-exempt status (Form 1023). It was received by the government office July 20, 2015.  We are in the process of making a few changes (we’ve switched to a non-stock corporation with several members instead of a limited liability company with a sole proprietor) and plan to submit our revisions in January 2016.  Further news will be posted here…

New Bridges LLC formed:  June 19, 2014

Yesterday we published our bilingual literacy book (B0) in French! Many thanks to the two translation teams who worked on this project. We awarded them with 12- and 13-year free printing licenses of all New Bridges materials. Click here to view a sample lesson from the book.

In compliance with the regulations of the Commonwealth of Virginia for non-profit organizations, we have made our official documents available to the public. You can find them by clicking on “Official Documents” on the left.

The first Board of Directors was formed during our first two meetings on August 11 and October 16, 2014. The directors will serve a 3-year term.

Darren Brown – Vice Chairman of the Board
Mike Yacob – Liaison
Chérie Rempel – President

Our next meeting is scheduled for March 18, 2015.
